GP is Hiring a Manager, S&OP at our corporate HQ in downtown Atlanta, GA. We are seeking a dynamic and driven person who will be a vital member of the Georgia-Pacific Gypsum Sales and Operations Planning Team (S&OP). The individual in this role will create value for the business by employing supply chain strategies that improve product availability and result in network optimization. The ideal candidate must have the ability to work autonomously and possess a high degree of creativity and resourcefulness. Success also requires effective partnering across multiple capabilities resulting in a shared point of view. 

 

Responsibilities:


  • Improve division forecast accuracy by leveraging statistical models, Forecast Value Add (FVA) process, customer relationships, third-party datasets, and advancing current knowledge systems

  • Provide decision support for S&OP recommendations (Plant Staffing, Assortment, Inventory Builds, Warehouse locations, Out-of- Market Sourcing, Product Availability, etc.)

  • Maintain the accurate flow of data into and out of Supply Planning knowledge systems preventing forecast error and potential network sub-optimization

  • Lead monthly S&OP review meetings with Regional Sales and Operations leadership 

  • Ensure key metric (KPI) reporting is in place that facilitates root cause analysis driving improvements in forecasting error, product availability, scheduling adherence, and reducing out of market shipments

  • Continually look for ways to innovate inside the planning capability. Stay current with industry leading knowledge, concepts, and technology while practically applying to create value

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:


  • Supply Chain related experience with a focus on process improvement (Optimization Software, Statistical Modeling/Forecast Value Add, Inventory Management, etc.)

  • Ability to manipulate and draw conclusions from large data sets promoting improved decision making

  • Capability to proactively anticipate customers’ needs and develop practical alternatives based on value

  • Ability to communicate across multiple capabilities and achieve alignment based on economic value 

  • Possess a sense of urgency, accountability, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to effectively express ideas/concepts across multiple layers of the organization

 

What You Will Need:



Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or another business-related field

  • At least 3 years of experience in a forecasting, procurement, operations, demand planning, deployment or production planning role

  • Advanced Microsoft Office Excel experience (creating and modifying spreadsheets and using complex functions, filters, and graphs to analyze and manipulate data)

  • Manufacturing experience 

  • Experience using SQL Server Management Studio
