Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurance required – mileage reimbursement provided

Responsible for identifying, developing, and maintaining relationships with key community organizations and associations to generate knowledge and awareness about Cigna-HealthSpring (C-HS) company, our Medicare Advantage's brand, and value.


  • Meet or exceed activity quotas, compliance requirements, and department/manager expectations

  • Plans and executes client and community relations activities including event planning, execution and tracking, market sponsorship, philanthropy, grant-making and internal and external communications

  • Develops and implements strategic initiatives/projects which may include events, sponsorship activation, grant-making and employee engagement activities to deliver the Cigna-HealthSpring brand

  • Identifies and cultivates new community relationships to improve lead generation

  • Produces campaign and event tracking reports showing return on investments and key initiatives

  • Manages allocated budget for branding events, sponsorship activities, and political functions

  • Partners with Field Sales Representatives to host events and generate awareness and excitement for Cigna-HealthSpring's Medicare Advantage product

  • Partners with Sales Manager to develop criteria to successfully transition the relationship to the Field Sales Representative

  • Host new customer first contact meetings to improve on-boarding experience and generate referrals for DTC segment, partnering with Retention

  • Maintain knowledge of compliance regulatory procedures and Medicare Marketing Guidelines to utilize in all functions, processes, and communication


  • Ability to identify community organizations which align with the Segments interests to enhance an existing portfolio of relationships

  • Ability to apply policies and practices for planning and administering a budget

  • Ability to collaborate well both internally and externally to support achievement of market objectives

  • Knowledge of community and organizational politics and tactics; ability to effectively navigate formal and informal communication and decision-making channels

  • Develop and execute strategies for building brand loyalty by promoting the flow of information, strengthening relationships, and encouraging productive collaboration among community members and new Cigna-HealthSpring customers

  • Self-starter, flexible, adaptable, highly organized and proactive

  • Strong relationship building skills

  • Strong communications skills – both verbal and written and active listening skills
