Summary of Position

  • Provide leadership and strategy development that results in maintaining and growing market segments for the Environmental Services Group businesses.

  • Develop financial, product and marketing plans based upon market and customer intelligence reports that achieve or exceeds leadership and customer’s goals and expectations.,.

  • Develop communication strategy that defines market position in a manner that drives demand for our products and makes ESG products a top choice for the defined customer base

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establishing Strategic Direction:

  • Identify, develop, and prioritize new business opportunities that will establish a reliable pattern for organic grown within all assigned business units by performing the following functions:

    • Expand and execute critical product development paths that will produce reliable growth opportunities.  Create and maintain scorecard/communication method that identifies and measures appropriate milestones that is indicative to success.

    • Take ownership for idea generation, documentation of data, analysis, recommendations, and prioritization of product and/or service opportunities

    • Develop and maintain relationships with key customer base and utilize their inputs as a tool to identify additional product development. 

    • Utilize change management processes and tools to support new projects and initiatives within organization.

    • Provide leadership in the identification and development of M&A strategies, joint ventures, affiliations, and partnerships

  • Collect and maintain market and competitive intelligence to drive business decisions by:

    • Advance our approach/system to capture and communicate relevant competitive intelligence which allows for quick decisions on future initiatives.

    • Analyze relevant data (i.e. SWOT analysis, strategy assessments, trends and drivers) and recommend initiatives that will produce maximum results for dollars spent.

  • Create and execute marketing plans that will drive demand for products and services by:

    • Develop and maintain marketing strategies for individual brands and adjust strategies based upon changing or relevant market data.

    • Create compelling marketing stories that position individual brands as the preferred choice in marketplace.

    • Continuously improve sales training tools to provide sales team marketing materials to support overall brand message.

  • Developing and Cultivate Marketing Talent and Resources

  • Provide direction for internal and external marketing resources, oversee development of projects and measure effectiveness of plans/campaigns.

  • Hire and develop a high performing marketing team consisting of both internal and external resources

  • Coach and direct internal marketing resources, establish and execute development plans and measure individual’s effectiveness in their role.

  • Other Duties

  • Develop trade show calendar, assign resources to plan and execute company’s participation and review success of participation.

  • Oversee all public relations communications and campaigns and ensure they are aligned with overall brand and product strategies

  • Assist in developing overall marketing budget and monitoring compliance to ensure maximum benefits are gained through usage.

  • Implement an 80/20 philosophy on all marketing initiatives on products, services, and processes

  • Perform other duties assignments and special projects, as needed or assigned.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing or related field.   Master’s degree strongly preferred

  • A minimum of 10 years in a manufactured equipment market (durable goods) within the marketing function. 

  • Demonstrate evidence of responsibility and with proof of results.  

  • Leadership: a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.

  • Technical skills in strategic planning and marketing, business and market development, market research and planning and promotions/advertising

  • Experience with the creative development process and program execution

  • Experience with marketing budgets, P&L’s, forecasts, etc

  • Managing a marketing department/multiple marketing disciplines with a minimum of 10 marketing associates

  • Cross-functional experience working closely with engineering, new product development, operations, supply chain, and distribution channels
