We are looking for a full time Lead Auditor in Lafayette Operations facility in the Arconic Aluminum Extrusions (AEX) business unit, based in Lafayette, Indiana. This position reports to the Quality Assurance Manager.

Essential Functions:

This role is responsible for developing and administering Lafayette Operations Internal Audit Plan. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Develop and administer internal audit plan. Conduct majority of the internal audits and report results. Initiate corrective actions and follow-up activities.

  • Host customer and 3 rd party audits. Lead preparation activities and any follow-up corrective actions.

  • Act as a liaison with others, such as production, metallurgical, and other appropriate personnel on audit issues.

  • Complete customer quality surveys on a regular basis.

  • Coordinate the qualification of quality critical/controlled suppliers. Develop quality requirements and ensure flow-down for quality controlled suppliers. Coordinate annual evaluation process. Conduct supplier audits as needed. Maintain approved supplier list and regular maintenance of list. Implement supplier risk management.

  • Corrective action process administrator. Initiate corrective actions for all audits and monitor all corrective actions for effective, timely completion. Conduct training for ARTS users.

  • Quality Systems support by updating procedures and work instructions; especially those related to audit, corrective actions and supplier quality control

  • Correlate data and assist with management review presentations.

  • Notify customers of quality system, key personnel, process or equipment changes.

  • Act as a liaison with others, such as production, metallurgical, and other appropriate personnel on audit issues.

Basic Qualifications:


  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution


  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial environment


  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.


  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S> person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S> Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee .
