Join the #1 hospital in Wisconsin as a Cardiovascular Technologist  We are seeking a Cardiovascular Technologist  to: - Practice in a technologically advanced and dynamic interventional procedural area - Be an integral member of our talented multidisciplinary team - Assist with scrubbing, circulating and monitoring invasive cardiovascular procedures - Care for critically ill patients having heart attacks and help saves lives Education: Minimum - Graduate of a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (CVIS) Technologist training program. Two (2) years of experience as an Imaging Technologist may be considered in lieu of training program completion. Work Experience: Preferred - Two (2) years of Cardiovascular Technologist work experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Licenses and Certifications: Minimum – If an Imaging Technologist, then registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).  Basic Life Support/CPR certification. ACLS certification within 6 months of hire date. Preferred - RCIS, RCIT, or HRS CEPS Certification of Special Competency in Cardiac Electrophysiology for Associated Professionals.  Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: - Self-motivated & directed with regard to an increasing level of understanding and knowledge. - Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects and meets objectives and deadlines.   - Effective oral and written professional communication skills. - Ability to demonstrate ethical and professional behaviors at all times. - Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and privacy. - Ability to use initiative and independent judgment. - Ability to work independently. - Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, healthcare professionals and external vendors.   - Knowledge regarding quality improvement and standards of care within practice area. - Capable of demonstrating flexibility with demands of external/internal customers placed on operating functions of the department. - Basic computer skills required.  - Capable of wearing lead aprons for extended periods of time. - Physical ability to lift and position patients and assist with patient transfers utilizing beds or stretchers.   On Call Requirement - Call response time of 30 minutes from pager activation to arrival, dressed in scrubs and reported to F6/3 HVC Procedure Center Physical Requirements: Medium: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.  W ork Schedule:  100% FTE, 40 hours per week.  Scheduled 8 and 10 hour shifts will be between the hours of 6:00 am - 6:00 pm, Monday - Friday.  Required on-call rotation after hours, weeknights, weekends and holidays with 30 minute response time.  Hours may vary based on the needs of the department.
