SummaryThe Engineer II, Process is responsible for engineering support for a pilot plant facility containing biological processing \u0026 support equipment.Job DescriptionDesigns, specifies, installs and commissions new equipment and provides engineering technical support and troubleshooting for all cell culture, purification and processing equipment including associated automation. Investigates process or equipment failures and implements changes to avoid future occurrences. Provides support for new equipment evaluations and process improvement studies. Some on-call support during off hours is required.
*LI-POT7QualificationsBachelor's Degree with a minimum of 4 years related industry experience or an MS Degree with a minimum of 4 years related industry experience.
Process engineering experience in Biotech industry supporting Cell Culture (including perfusion and single use equipment), Centrifugation, Chromatography, and/or Ultrafiltration unit operations. Familiar with operation and troubleshooting of DCS (distributed control system) automation. Scale up experience, and PLC / Delta V systems experience. Experience with documentation requirements for GMP manufacturing facilities including: change control, tech transfer and validation systems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated technical proficiency and creativity. Excellent organizational and time management skills.EducationB.S. in Chemical or Biochemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.All individuals deserve the right to achieve their full potential.
