As a member of our Insights & Analytics team, you will play a critical role in supporting Hallmark's digital initiatives across retailers and businesses by providing an understanding of online shopping, path-to-purchase, and drivers of digital commercialization for our categories. You will work with our, Digital Commercialization, and key customer teams (for their click-and-collect capabilities), helping to identify insights with the potential to grow our digital business. Additionally, you will lead other research initiatives (outside of digital) in service of the Consumer & Shopper Insight team and the Insights & Analytics team as a whole.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping our stakeholders become wildly successful, delivering financial results and critical capabilities. You will be thoughtful, thorough, creative, collaborative, and will inspire people around you. You will be technical enough to have spirited debates with our seasoned research/digital teams and creative enough to collaborate on problem solving. You will be a high-impact, visible ‘resident expert’ on what our consumers/shoppers are doing, saying, and the ‘why’ underneath their behavior and motivations. Effective and engaging communication skills will help you succeed.
You will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including:
Identifying areas where consumer research or input are required
Recommending and designing appropriate studies or research initiatives
Executing a range of different types of consumer/shopper studies, as needed to address business challenges
Synthesizing and analyzing data from multiple sources, translating research insights into actionable recommendations and direction
Managing day-to-day relationships and project logistics with external research partners as needed
Acting as a knowledge source and subject matter expert in the digital commercialization space

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors in Marketing Research, Engineering, Statistics, Marketing, Psychology, Sociology AND At least 3 years’ experience in Marketing, Marketing Research, Operations Research, Engineering, Statistics, Psychology, Sociology, Business Research or Business Consulting, with experience in shopper research, digital commercialization, digital analytics, or digital research (CX/UX or other).
Bachelor degree AND At least 5 years’ experience in Marketing, Marketing Research, Operations Research, Engineering, Statistics, Psychology, Sociology, Business Research or Business Consulting, with experience in shopper research, digital commercialization, digital analytics, or digital research (CX/UX or other).
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with digital data/data analytic tools (such as Google Analytics, Omniture, Facebook, Medallia, ratings & review, other social)
8+ years of market, consumer, business, or operational research, experienced in various research and analytical tools and applications.
Prior business strategy and consulting experience.
Experience with developing strategic business/research/analysis plans.
Experience with diverse consumer product/service business models.
Prior experience in e-commerce, business consulting; advanced research methodology, consumer immersion, research project management, design thinking, supplier-side experience, digital commercialization, cross-functional project leadership, ability to integrate/synthesize data from multiple sources
