Job Functions:Job SummaryThis position will support the technical coordination of projects within the Project Management Team. Responsibilities include electrical engineering studies and designs, as part of a multi-disciplinary design team responsible for power generation projects. It will integrate various components into a system and perform detail design task to ensure function of the system in cooperation with Genset Engineering including detail interface coordination with vendors and customers. This position will also coordinate and witness testing at vendors facilities and at the project site, prepare and coordinate resolution of punch list items and coordinate technical commissioning details with Service Manager and Service Partners
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Plant design and development for new or existing projects
This includes, but is not limited to generator set control systems, wiring harnesses, electrical diagrams, electronic engine systems, automatic voltage regulators, transformers, heaters, motor controls, and protective devices, paralleling switchgear, low and medium voltage switchgear, and any other electrical aspects of projects.
Researching and analyzing requirements from various engineering standards, contracts and proposal documents
Preparing engineering calculations and drawings
Providing equipment specifications for major electrical equipment
Performing bid evaluations
Coordinating electrical equipment contracts directly with equipment vendors
Maintaining engineering records and lists as required
Developing and managing cable and termination information utilizing plant design software
Coordinate control interfaces with customer
Complete work according to standard engineering principles and practices
Testing, troubleshooting and verification of designs, using data collection and documentation equipment.
Preform panel loading calculations and balancing for load centers, panelboards & switchboards, to include but not limited to wire/cable, conduit and tray sizing.
Entry level design and development of automation systems within a team.
Modifies and maintains automation systems.
Writes computer software and programs as necessary.
Contributes to project installation, commissioning, project closure and inspections/reporting.

Performs other related duties as assignedQualifications:Education/Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program and 3 years experience or 7 years experience.
P.E. licensure preferredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
Experience with Bluebeam Revu a plus
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Eplan (or equivalent drafting/modeling software)
Proficiency in MS Project
Basic knowledge about programming PLCs
Knowledge of National Electrical Code and industry specifications
Experience with Power Distribution is preferred
Basic knowledge of SAP MS5
Proven ability to prioritize and complete multiple concurrent projects/tasks with minimal direction in a fast-paced environment
Ability read and interpret electrical schematics, line diagrams, ladder diagrams, point to point diagrams and shop drawings
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
Ability to interact with people from all levels of the company
Ability to read and interpret
