Job Description:

Job Functions:
1.Develops master schedule to establish sequence and lead-time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders
2.Analyzes production specifications and plant capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools and human resource requirements
3.Plans and schedules workflow for each department and operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times
4.Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions
5.Prepares purchase requisitions and maintains Schedule Agreement delivery schedules to obtain materials
6.Coordinates objectives and schedules with other departments to reduce cycle time and improve first pass yield
7.Prepares and maintains production records
8.Keeps management abreast of progress, developments and pending problems
9.Negotiates delivery dates, expediting and other escalations with supplier.
10.Implements good housekeeping practices
11.Provides training to personnel as needed
12.Inputs, audits and reconciles information into computer system
13.Coordinates implementation of Engineering Changes
14.Promotes a compliance culture in area of responsibility, and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls-Royce Code of Conduct
15.Performs special projects as required.Qualifications:Required:
Bachelor's degree in Materials Management or Procurement and 3 years of supplier, materials management or planning/scheduling experience; or 7 years of supplier, materials management or planning/scheduling experience
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong understanding of computer applications and/or controlled systems.
Strong level of analytical and problem-solving ability.
Strong level of interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with others.
Strong understanding of modern inventory management principles
Must be available to work all shifts and/or flexible hours
Proficient with PC and MS Office Suite
Preferred:
Familiar with plant operations/equipment and engine related components
Familiar with low volume supplier challenges
Knowledge of job-related product information
SAP knowledge preferred
