Job Summary:
o Develop/evaluate test programs on the Advantest 93000 PS1600 ATE with an emphasis on quality of coverage and cost effectiveness
o Characterize and debug new chips with Design and Product engineering teams
o Innovate new test methodologies and technologies to reduce development time and manufacturing costs through familiarity with the product, its architecture, and its design methodology
o Work with diverse teams worldwide in multiple functional roles to debug new silicon and support production ramps and production problems
o Execute on cost reduction and yield enhancement test solutions as a product ramps production
o Write test requirements for new products
o NPI bring up including test pattern generation, test patterns and silicon bring up/debug, test time and yield optimization  (drive to entitlement test times and yield at production launch)
o Develop test hardware: probe card and Device Interface Board
o Develop test software or related test software tools for Advantest 93K testers e.g. Wafer test, characterization and final test program.  Must be able to analyze and summarize characterization data
o Participate in core cross functional teams through NPI phase gates
o Transfer product to offshore factories (internal/external) post production ramp
o Interface with various Design centers (Austin & India) to drive DFT methodology to reduce cost of test
o Mentor junior test engineers on test techniques and methodologies
o Participate in defining and implementing test methodology for digital and analog IPs (e.g., DDR, PCIE, ADC/DAC, PMC etc.)
o Participate in NPI & process improvement activities with Design, PE & TE, & Manufacturing

Skills/Requirements:
o Candidate must be expert at debugging high performance ICs
o Strong problem-solving skills in a team environment
o Good communication skills to effectively understand and simplify complex topics
o Comfortable with ambiguity and willing to research and learn in areas lacking expertise
o Strong understanding of statistical data analysis
o Candidate must understand test development on a project from concept through production
o Candidate can predict production challenges and define test requirements to the design team
o Knowledge of integrated circuits design and fabrication in CMOS technology
o Candidate will understand the RTL design environment, design methodologies, and types of design simulations
o Understanding of loadboard design and performance at high-frequencies
o Well acquainted with DFT techniques and debug methods, including debugging scan patterns or memory BIST patterns
o Experience in software development (C/C++/Java, Perl/Ruby, Assembly language)
o Test engineering experience on ATE, Advantest 93000 preferred
o Experienced with testing microprocessor/microcontrollers, mix-signal IPs (e.g. ADC/DAC, PMCs, Oscillators), scan and BIST, and high-speed busses (e.g. DDR, Serdes)
o Working knowledge of DFT implementation 
o Working knowledge of VB, Ruby, Python, C++
o Experience with test pattern development (test bench) and conversion (from .vcds, .wgls) to ATE format
o Must have good communication skills and able to work well with cross functional teams
o Self motivated individual
o BSEE (MSEE preferred) with  5 to 10 years of tester experience (UltraFlex or 93K  preferred)
