Job Description:

Commercial Insurance Property Manager


The primary responsibilities of this position include:

  • Accountability for managing profit and driving growth of the Commercial monoline and package property book
  • Work with Industry Practice and Line of Business managers to develop and implement strategies for management of the property Line of Business
  • Handle large property referrals
  • Manage property EFUs and Territory Property Underwriters
  • Develop, lead and monitor various property projects, including form re-writes,  system work, data analytics, actuarial analysis, etc.
  • Deliver technical training via on-site or virtual modules to the field
  • Work in a team environment with Line of Business/Industry Practices, IT, claims, General Counsel, Actuarial, OGC and field underwriting to achieve business plans
  • Represent Chubb on various industry committees and conferences
  • Position requires business travel



  • Candidates must have an in depth knowledge of monoline and package property underwriting in general
  • At least 10-15 years of property underwriting experience
  • Strong business acumen and knowledge of commercial underwriting and insurance industry theories and practices required
  • Candidates should possess strong leadership and influence management skills
  • Excellent project management and process management skills are required
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with all levels of internal and external business partners
  • A strong working knowledge of and relationship with IT, OGC, General Counsel and Actuarial is also required
  • Must be able to multi-task and balance multiple priorities
  • Candidates must demonstrate advanced proficiency for pay band 34 competencies including a track record of results achievement, customer development, collaboration, teamwork, problem solving, and communication (written and verbal).




  • Four year bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
