Job Description:

The In Home Advisor I is responsible for delighting clients with experiential sales interactions within the home. The In Home Advisor I provides advice and consultation to clients who are referred to In Home Consultation, via store leads, referrals or digital leads for straight forward consultations, such as Smart Home and Networking Solutions. This role will be deployed in homes by the Symphony and Order Create systems, based on client interest within Smart Home and Networking solutions. They will primarily work to fulfill straight forward, high velocity lead demand in stores. They will offer services (non-drilling) in the moment, when possible, and will introduce the client to the In Home Advisor II team for consultation on future needs or complex projects.

Key Responsibilities

  1. In Home Consultations and Sales

    • Provides consultative services to develop sales solutions to best meet client needs and wants for Smart Home and Networking solutions

    • Builds relationships with clients in order to provide trusted advice and solutions through the initial consultation and hand off to a In Home Advisor II for future project plans that involve future or complex solutions

    • Interpret customer needs and communicate effectively

  2. Product and Service knowledge and Basic Installation

    • Possesses general knowledge of the products and services, mainly Smart Home and Networking categories, that are provided by Best Buy in order to provide exceptional sales services to clients

    • During initial consultation, responsibilities may include basic installation, configuration, and programming of Smart Home and Networking solutions (non-drilling)

    • Staying current with the ever-changing technology and solutions in the smart home and networking space

  3. Operational Excellence

    • Executes projects from initial vision and development through delivery and installation of product

    • Anticipates obstacles and takes action to prevent or minimize their impact.

  4. Business Acumen

    • Serves as an advocate to the In Home Consultation strategy

    • Focuses on demand via store leads, referrals and/or digital leads

    • Maintains a fluid vision of what is possible and understands current trends in the market place

Basic Qualifications

  • 1 year of Client Relationship Management experience OR Military service equivalent

  • 1 year of experience in Sales, customer service or related fields

  • 21 years of age

  • Have a current, valid Driver's License

  • No more than a combination of 2 moving violations/at-fault accidents within the past three years

  • No DUI/DWI or Reckless Driving violations in the past three years

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1 year of leadership experience in business, Military or relevant fields
