p strong POSITION SUMMARY: /strong br /

Production role in consumables, kit or reagent manufacturing responsible for meeting production schedules in a fast-paced, high throughput industrial setting. This may include the production of coated plates, chemical buffers, and biological diluents/reagents and/or assembled kits for customer order fulfillment. Some degree of professional latitude, creativity and self-management is expected. br /

strong DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: /strong br /
br /
Operate automated equipment used to perform and produce biological assays and/or reagents br /
Contribute to process improvement, assay and process development for manufacturing br /
Documentation br /
o Complete appropriate documentation to support process and production procedures including data capture, forms, logbooks, and inventory batch records br /
o Daily maintenance and documentation of all production equipment br /
Participation in general laboratory maintenance including maintaining laboratory cleanliness, supplies and equipment br /
o Maintain physical inventory by processing/aliquotting/vialing/labeling materials. br /
o Prepare, maintain and report raw material, reagent and/or coated plate inventories. br /
? Participate in year-end physical inventory br /
Follow laboratory safety precautions and use of personal protective equipment br /
May manufacture custom and/or prototype requests for customers br /
May occasionally handle BSL2 reagents br /
Specific duties may vary depending upon departmental requirements /p

p strong EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: /strong br /
br /
High School diploma required br /
o Associates degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Engineering or related field is preferred br /
Demonstrated experience in operations coordination and inventory control required. br /
Prior manufacturing experience a plus. br /
Software: br /
o Experience with MRP or ERP systems is preferred br /
o Experience with JDE is preferred br /
o Ability to learn additional software applications/tools, as required br /
Experience with cGMP and/or ISO certification is highly preferred br /
A demonstrated level of consistency in performance and aptitude for managing additional responsibility and accountability are required for next level consideration br /
br /
strong KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: /strong br /
br /
Demonstrate an aptitude for learning and adhering to standard laboratory techniques and safety precautions as presented (protein determination/pipetting/balance operation) br /
Understand scientific fundamentals and analytical background br /
Understanding of automated vialing or bottling equipment function and use br /
o Mechanical aptitude including equipment troubleshooting br /
Excellent oral, written communication and interpersonal skills br /
o Effectively communicate issues/problems and results that impact timelines, accuracy and reliability of laboratory data br /
Proficiency in MS Office Suite br /
Ability to multi-task and work productively in a demanding manufacturing environment with changing priorities br /
br /
strong PHYSICAL DEMANDS: /strong br /

This position requires the ability to communicate and exchange information, utilize equipment necessary to perform the job, and frequent lifting up to 50 lbs. br /
Up to 80% of the day may be spent at a lab bench and/or in the cleanroom br /
