Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Direct Client Engagement:
The candidate will be expected to have extensive direct client engagement, both in executing NEPA project work and developing new work with new future clients
Demonstrated NEPA experience with DoD clients specifically and a strong local network within the federal engineering, planning, and/or environmental community is necessary to expand and diversify Cardno s current federal portfolio
Developing strategy and executing local business development efforts for growth
Contributing to the success of Cardno Government Services Division
In coordination with Cardno client and practice area leaders:
Plan and support local marketing activities
Develop and execute federal, state and local-level business development plans
Develop winning relationships with local business partners (e.g., small businesses)
Cultivate a sustainable and growing backlog
BS/BA Degree; Master s Degree preferred
10+ years experience in the federal sector as a NEPA seller-doer
Professional registration/certification (PE, AICP, RA, etc) is preferred, but not necessary.
Demonstrated and enduring experience conducting business within the Pacific region
Strong relationships with federal clients is required
Contacts with local state, city/county, education, or industrial/commercial entities in Hawaii/Pacific is desirable
Proven track record as a high performer who can self-motivate to get results
Ability to exercise professional discretion and judgement
Experience in management/leadership positions and training/mentoring staff
