Responsibilities

RS&H is currently seeking a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) for our Jacksonville, FL corporate office.



Qualifications

Due to continued growth within the company, we have an amazing opportunity located in our Jacksonville, FL office for a talented Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP). The HRBP will work as a collaborative member of the Human Resources department and will serve as the first line human resources business partner for HR-related matters, with the goal of aligning HR best practices to business unit strategies. The HRBP will also act as a consultant to associates and management within our Practices/business units on human resource-related areas to include: Employee Relations, Performance Management, Leaves of Absence, Class and Compensation, Paid Time Off, Organizational Effectiveness, Employee Engagement, etc.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops trusted partnerships across the HR function and Practice/business units.
  • Acts as liaison between Practice/business unit and HR functional areas.
  • Delivers value-added services to management and associates that reflects the business objectives of the organization.
  • Assesses, anticipates and communicates HR-related needs proactively with our HR department and seeks to develop integrated solutions.
  • Conducts weekly meetings and consults with respective Practices/business unit management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.
  • Maintains and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements to ensure federal and state compliance and adheres to company policies and procedures. Partners with the legal department as needed.
  • Maintains all company Leaves of Absence to include; STD/LTD, FMLA, Parental, etc.
  • Maintains company Paid Time Off program, balances and annual reset.
  • Works with compensation consultant to provide in-depth analysis of market data and provides guidance on the overall compensation strategy relative to market competitiveness. This includes job descriptions, salary ranges, geographic zones and position classifications.
  • Ensures high level of associate engagement within the Practice/business unit; to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Identifies training needs for business units and individual coaching needs.
  • Acts as an associate champion and change agent.
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Provides guidance and input on Practice / business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field required.
  • Five (5+) years’ progressive HR experience in a generalist capacity with working knowledge of specialties such as compensation, employee relations, performance management, employee engagement and federal and state employment law required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience resolving complex employee relations issues required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in the compensation and classification area of human resources is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to build credibility and confidence with a wide variety of associates and leaders as a trusted advisor and confidant; ability to influence individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential is preferred.
  • Experience using UltiPro and/or Deltek Vision systems is a plus.
  • Experience working in an architecture or engineering firm a plus.
