Seeking a BIM Manager to work on our BIM Team! The ideal candidate for this role will have experience working on BIM initiatives within an organization and whose technical skills are well defined. This would be a great opportunity for someone that has been functioning as a BIM Coordinator for the last few years and is looking for the next challenge in their career development.
The purpose of this position is to develop and support firm wide corporate BIM initiatives and support to BSA LifeStructures design teams
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in the development of Revit processes and procedures for the architectural, engineering, interior, and civil/structural disciplines.
Develop and maintain documentation and follow through on technical processes for design technology implementation and Revit standards across all disciplines.
Facilitate the development of an internal continued design technology training.
Ensure that all design related technology software and hardware are functioning properly and efficiently at all times and collaborate with the IT department for updating and deploying solutions.
Continuously evaluates and assesses new software and hardware products to give design staff a competitive advantage in the workplace.
Lead the use of design related technology as a tool to aid the design process.
Develops and follow through on technical processes for BIM implementation across all disciplines.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborate with BIM coordinators.
Constantly assesses and, when applicable, suggests improvements for processes.
Develop and maintain the Revit Family Library according to the BSA LifeStructures standards.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned, including plotters, other output, and digital applications.

Management: Ability to manage, organize, and maintain BIM/Design technology related content
Software skills required:
Proficient with: Microsoft Windows environment; Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Power BI; Autodesk AEC Building Suite (Primary Revit Platforms), Dyanmo, Navisworks
Knowledge of: Revit API, Clarity, Civil 3D, Google suite, Python and Lumion
Work requires substantial judgment and original thinking and creativity; Develops innovative approaches and ideas and must be able to present ideas and information in a manner to convey a return on investment either in the form of a purchase or effort required by design professionals.
This position will observe and advise other positions as needed
Working Environment and Conditions
The incumbent spends approximately 90% of his/her time developing and maintaining business contacts within the organization. He/she will also spend approximately 10% of his/her time developing and maintaining business contacts outside of the organization.
This position occupies a general office environment. Occasional exposure to weather elements is likely. Incumbents are likely to drive a vehicle in the course of performing their job responsibilities. Incumbents spend approximately 40% sitting, 30% standing, and 30% walking in the course of performing their job responsibilities and are unlikely to handle materials weighing more than 30 pounds without mechanical assistance. Incumbents will use the following office equipment in the course of performing their duties: phone, computer, copier.
