Role: The senior program manager position will Be responsiBle for managing one or more highly complex technical projects where internal or external Business partners are included as key constituents for the project's success. Senior PM responsiBility will vary By initiative, But in general will include technical consultancy, overall management of technology, levels of service Between GBT and external partner, Project Management of large projects (which may include new partner implementations), major projects involving enhancement of AXP systems for external partners for GloBal Travel Financial technologies portfolio which include Back office & accounting, Billing and settlement platforms. This position sets the strategy for platform(s) or set of applications within a portfolio, providing consulting expertise, leveraging Business and technical knowledge to support Business strategies and deliver Business value. Works with Technical team to deliver the Business and IT strategic plan. Also, Works closely with cross-functional teams to engage resources and monitor the delivery plan. - Key ResponsiBilities:
ResponsiBle for the technical delivery of portfolios that spans a Broad range of systems and complex travel financial applications. Works with the Business and Technical team to identify technical solutions and Business process improvements in support of the Business and IT strategic direction.
-Manages multiple stakeholders geographically dispersed to drive multi-year program Eclipse program oBjectives, ensures scope and approach are understood across GloBal Travel Financial Portfolio stakeholder community.
Supports integration management office for Acquisition integration of HRG company.
ResponsiBle for maintaining, overseeing the HRG finance systems integration workstreams working various workstream leads.
- Proactively provides technical /functional consultancy to partners and customers throughout the full development life cycle
-Creates and manages the multiyear road map for complex Business travel, accounting Billing, and meeting and events portfolio.
Assists in the investment decision-making process By ensuring provision of technology Budgets and advice on prioritization and scheduling.
Provides recommendations on resource optimization By suggesting alternative resource channel options and escalates any resource capacity risks that may affect delivery priorities.
-Using appropriate tools assists in the engagement of delivery teams. - Ensures that all delivery projects are supported By an up-to-date Business case (for example, project governance).
Uses reporting tools to monitor the progress of the portfolio delivery and ensures timely and effective communication of the status and assessment of risks/issues.
-Works with the Finance / GTT PMO organization to: ensure the alignment of Budgets, actual and forecasts. -Oversees quality assurance and ensures appropriate levels of end-to-end testing are undertaken
-Leads internal cross-functional teams while effectively managing relationships and requirements with Business partners across geographies
Must have strong understanding of solution development life cycle and various methodologies like Agile, Extreme programming, and waterfall etc.
Minimum 8-10 years of increasingly responsiBle experience, with at least five years of managing increasingly complex projects in a technical environment. ABle to work effectively and efficiently toward goals in a complex, diverse environment with multiple and changing demands.
Experience delivering projects with internet technologies that involves Java /J2EE, .NET frameworks
Experience in a customer facing role requiring a high level of individual responsiBility, sound Business judgment and strong financial management
Experience with Project forecasting tools like Clarity or equivalent is must
