This position is responsible for the overall program management of assigned AMS portfolio deliverables. Interfacing with all levels of internal and external customer on aspects of planning, scheduling, organizing, directing and controlling the project deliverables is required. The Program Manager leads the Portfolio Team to meet timing, cost and product requirements.
Leads the assigned AMS project team and takes personal responsibility for the team’s success by holding the team accountable, ensuring proper meeting cadence and elevating effectively when needed
Works with AMS Group’s Sales, Technical, Bus. Development, Finance and Account Manager teams to support customers from diverse industries in region
Reports to Managing Director for all timing and deliverables activity in region
Acts as the central communication point for the AMS project team to ensure that each member is aware of their deliverables and timing commitments
Establishes meeting cadence and schedules to track project deliverables
Trains and coaches the team to ensure compliance and tracks all deliverables using an open issues list
Fosters an environment of continuous improvement and the mindset to exceed customer expectations
Participates in customer meetings and supplier trials (as needed) to coordinate project deliverables
Communicates the impact of project scope change to the team in a timely manner
Maintains and supports creation of all SOW, licensing and commercial agreements, NDA and JDA for projects with customer
Uses tools like sharepoint to store and share information with internal team ; familiar with program management tools like MS Project, Parts Matrix, Bill of Materials for tracking project deliverables
Supports the Manufacturing Team in production builds, team meetings, plant based customer reviews and critical production preparation activities ; coordinates material planning and logistics.
Supports leadership in achieving department financial targets
Ensures successful on-time completion of portfolio deliverables.
Uses a risk management approach to anticipate and prevent problems from occurring. Apply sound judgment in elevating risks to management. Identify management specific tasks, deliverables and support needed to mitigate future risk.
May, on occasion, be required to perform duties other than those specified in this description.
Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred. MBA or PMP Certification a plus.
A minimum of three years’ experience in the automotive or similar industry. Preferable experience in a Chemical company. Internship and Co-op experiences will be considered.
Experience in at least one cross functional areas (Quality, Engineering, Operations, Program Management and Sales); prior experience in operations and supply chain an added plus
Project leadership experience in a matrix organization.
Excellent planning, collaboration, and facilitation skills to coordinate and leverage capabilities across a highly matrixed organization involving multiple products, channels & functions. Ability to influence their peer group in that environment.
Proficiency in MS Office and other systems supporting program management.
Data-driven problem solving skills, with understanding of problem solving tools and key performance indicators / metrics.
Understanding of some project accounting financials is desired
Willingness and ability to travel, as necessary.

Must wear proper personal protection equipment while on manufacturing floor.
Travel to manufacturing facilities or customer locations when required.
Equipment used requires proper training on the potential for and avoidance of injury.
