The Nutrition and Wellness Administrator II is responsible for supporting the USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) in qualified centers. They will ensure nutritious meals are provided in accordance with state and federal regulations and KCE's standards. They will influence change and maximize revenue while seeking to ensure they are aligned with the culture and demonstrate KCE service values in all that they do. A successful administrator II will be proficient in CACFP State regulations, actively engaged with processors, center staff and District Leaders to influence center performance and will be a forward thinker that helps create a food program that others love.
Key responsibilities include:
Maximize the financial benefit of the Child & Adult Care Food Program by meeting or exceeding individual key performance metrics (i.e. financial data, quality control and customer satisfaction).
Proactively evaluate, support and train centers to achieve maximum financial results and minimizing risk with sustained results by driving for results and influencing centers to achieve goals and established metrics.
Maintain Program integrity and compliance by meeting deadlines and applicable CACFP state and federal requirements. Advocate for KCE and assigned centers while adhering to company policies and procedures (i.e. coordinating state audits and reviews and attending state-sponsored training, monitoring, tracking, and assessing site operations.)
Engage in effective communication and support internal customers to run a successful food program and drive for continual improvement by influencing centers to maintain compliance and maximize reimbursement.
Review and understand state regulations, determine the impact to current or future processes, and inform the team members who need to know
Understand both team and individual performance goals and work independently and contribute to a high performing team.
Exhibits engagement in their role and the company's culture while adapting to change.
Drive KCE's Grow Happy nutrition & wellness strategy by proving the support, tools and training centers need to meet established goals and metrics.
Become familiar with the approved health and nutrition services in each state in order to be the resource for centers when referrals are needed.
Actively participate in other related duties as assigned.
Key desired skills and experience:
Bachelor's degree in business or related field required.
Ability to work independently and manage changing environments and competing priorities.
Training experience required.
Experience with multi-site child care centers or other multi-site operation preferred.
Strong PC skills/knowledge covering general office software, including MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and email required.
Knowledge of USDA and State Child and Adult Care Food Program regulations, preferred
Able to travel (approximately 50%) by air or auto to distant cities and states, includes overnight.

Complete regular analysis of center performance in order to create and implement support plans that demonstrate effective problem solving and consider the impact to others while driving for results. (center qualification calculations, milk shortages, disallowances, required forms, etc.)
Drives for Results -Is bottom-line oriented; is accountable to self and other for results; collaborates to set objectives and looks to meet goals that align to the department dashboard and metrics.
Decides how and when works gets done to achieve desired results and meet CACFP requirements for each state such as contracts, monitor visits, training, onboarding, etc.
Demonstrates resourcefulness and problem solving skills when collaborating with others. (Peers, supervisor/manager, centers, processing team, District Leaders).
Demonstrates passion and upholds integrity while working within the framework of company policies and procedures to grow Nutrition and Wellness. (Add centers and revenue, and simplify processes)
Minimizes cost and maximize results by scheduling office and travel time effectively and efficiently.
Customer Focus - Effectively balances competing priorities while aligning with our service values and the department mission statement. Establishes and maintains effective relationships and gains trust and respect.
