ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Includes the following but is not all-inclusive:
Manage the compliance data management tool, enter purchased part level data, compliance data and validate the data.
Assist with identification of product compliance metrics and risk assessments to provide visibility to progress toward compliance with compliance regulations.
Engage with distributors, suppliers and internal supply chain personnel to obtain proper compliance data.
Perform quality check and verification of supplier provided compliance documentation.
Ensures that documents and records are stored in such a manner as to be readily accessible and in a suitable environment which minimizes chance of damage, deterioration or loss
Respond to requests for product compliance information
Respond to customer quality surveys and their requests for information on Nordson EFD processes and systems.
Create SDS and manage SDS (Safety Data Sheets) electronic library so that Nordson EFD personnel can access up to date SDS for materials used at Nordson EFD
Monitors and tracks Compliance Documentation Requests through the compliance data management tool, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and process issues. Maintains and issues monthly status of open compliance documentation requests
Assists in making sure that all new part numbers requests comply with applicable Product Compliance and Import/Export procedures prior to issuance.
Cross trains on other department position tasks for provision of backup support when needed
Processes, records, files and aids Nordson EFD Engineering in obtaining Product Compliance documentation for Nordson EFD part numbers such as; RoHS, Reach, Conflict Minerals, Country of Origin, etc.
Performs all data input into the compliance data management tool for Nordson part numbers Product/Trade Compliance Status
Responsible for the operation of multiple databases, currently includes Engineering Change Request (ECR)/Engineering Change Order (ECO) Database and the Material Master Request (MMR)
Creates and revises work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed
Coordinates activities with MMR Document Control Administrator as needed
Create annual Free Trade Agreements blanket and individual customer requests as needed
Schedules priorities, manages time, and monitors work flow in a systematic and dependable manner
Performs routine and non-routine tasks, focus on customer needs and satisfaction, facilitate efficient and accurate processing of product compliance documentation and records
All other additional responsibilities as requested or required
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
1-3 years of document control experience in a manufacturing /engineering environment.
Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing, product, and design related processes.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Must have a good understanding of document control functions and its role in a company's business flow.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
Ability to create routine reports, presentations and correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, coworkers, and customers via a presentation or report.
Ability to coordinate and track activities by metrics.
Advanced proficiency working with an ERP system and Microsoft Office software with emphasis on Excel.
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Works with minimal departmental level supervision and sets own priorities and negotiates priorities with customers.
Must be able to work on multiple projects accurately and efficiently.
Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Demonstrated advanced skills in documenting, recording and maintaining facts, information and records in a detailed and accurate manner.
Demonstrated skill and flexibility in negotiating and collaborating with coworkers.
Exhibits advanced level problem solving and independent engagement of a variety of resources to resolve issues or develop new and improved methods of work.
