Uses high-pressure, high volume wash system to clean equipment and vehicles.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

* Operates high-pressure water system to clean vehicles, heavy equipment and trucks, as well as the interior and exterior of vessels, from 100 bbl. to 400 bbl. upright tanks, Vac trucks and guzzlers

* Utilizes brushes, brooms, soaps and solvents when necessary to facilitate removal of sludge, grease and oil

* Responsible for keeping washbay building and equipment clean and may perform routine maintenance on equipment such as pumps and hoses

* Complete PTSP (Pre Task Safety Planning) card prior to starting any job

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

* Ability to work in confined spaces

* Possess current general knowledge of practical laborer skills and be able to work safely

* Must be able to follow all company, client, safety and regulatory requirements, including, but not limited to, policies, procedures, standards and guidelines as they relate to this position and the work duties being performed

PHYSICAL DEMAND/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to extreme weather conditions. Employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, extreme heat and high noise levels. Employee will work in an environment where there is risk that they will be exposed to toxic, caustic and/or hazardous chemicals, fumes or airborne particles. Workers are required to wear personal protective equipment while on the job.

The work generally requires routine walking, standing, squatting, climbing, stooping, bending, twisting, reaching and carrying items. An individual will be required to work the majority of hours in an industrial environment and will need to be able to quickly respond to a change in work demands. Must be physically able to climb ladders and must be able to enter and exit 20 inch hatches on vessels to access all areas of equipment being cleaned and to scrub and wash them.

* Must have ability to stand, walk on level, uneven and slippery surfaces, sit, squat, kneel, reach through low and high ranges and exhibit normal balance and coordination. These basic physical requirements are essential for safe performance of the job in harsh environments with exposure to very cold temperatures and while wearing arctic gear.

* Lift 40 lbs from floor to waist level x 2 with a 12 second interval,

* Lift 20 lbs from floor to shoulder level x 2 with a 12 second interval,

* Lift 20 lbs from floor to crown level x 2 with a 12 second interval,

* Carry Test: Carry 40 lbs with two hands for distance of 50 feet x 2. Self-paced, but continuous. (Allow a 60 second rest break between carry tests.)

* Stairs: Climb up and down 12 steps per flight x 3 for a total of 36 steps. Self-paced, but continuous.

* Slanted Ladder: Climb 10 rungs x 2 for a total of 20 rungs. Self-paced, but continuous.

* Repetitive Stoop Test: Perform from standing position, bend forward at waist as far as possible without bending the knees with hands reaching toward the floor x 5, self-paced, but continuous,

* Repetitive Kneel Test: Perform from standing, kneel on one knee, alternate from left to right knee, x 5 each knee,

* Repetitive Squat Test: Perform a functional squat and stand x 5, and

* Twist and Flex Test: Perform from standing alternate toe touches x 5 to each side to assess ability to twist and flex the trunk repetitively.

* Stairs: Climb up and down 12 steps per flight x 3 repetitions for a total of 36 steps. Self-paced, but continuous.,

* Stair Climb and Carry Test: While carrying 50 lbs with one hand and holding onto a railing with the other hand for safety, walk up and down 12 steps. Self-paced.

* Slanted Ladder: Climb up and down 6 rungs x 2 for a total of 12 rungs. Self-paced, but continuous.

* Repetitive Stoop Test: Perform from standing position, bend forward at waist as far as possible without bending the knees with hands reaching toward the floor x 5, self-paced, but continuous,

* Repetitive Kneel Test: Perform from standing, kneel on one knee, alternate from left to right knee, x 5 each knee,

* Repetitive Squat Test: Perform a functional squat and stand x 5, and
