Job Summary: This position is for a highly experienced and motivated inpatient / outpatient data analyst who has aggregated data & worked with formulas to create reports in a medical facility setting. (i.e. Excel, Crystal, MicroStrategy, Tableau, etc.) &/or CDI specialist who has advanced knowledge to assist with changes in the industry impacting clients’ use of 360 Encompass. You must have experience with ICD-10 CM and PCS, as well as outpatient HCPCS/CPT surgical cases. You will spend your days researching and responding to customers reporting questions related to CDI, HIM, Quality Indicators, Professional Services and Audit Expert. Expect to see questions and problems daily that you have never before encountered in your career. You will respond to customers in either a written format or verbally during a client call providing answers to their questions as well as the rationale behind the answer.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Respond to inbound customer support calls for the 3M HIS software solutions, which involves multiple client phone conversations to fully understand and resolve issues
Provide customer education on coding, workflows, documentation and compliance within the 3M™ 360 Encompass™ System.
Provide customer education regarding the creation of CDI, HIM or Quality Indicator custom reports for use by various teams across your facility. A strong understanding of 360 Encompass™ workflows and data is required.
Ability to use screen sharing software to assist clients to create custom reports.
Assist with client demonstrations as part of sales presentations.
Coordinate with applicable Development Teams (may be more than 1) to clearly communicate client needs for enhancements following client sessions.
Identifies and resolves customer software problems, software failures, and complex problems which require independent action to correct and/or prevent. Some 360 Encompass™ features are cloud-based and may need to assist with trouble-shooting issues if they arise.
Exercise discretion and independent judgment when dealing with software concerns/problems.
Build credibility and trust with 3M HIS customers and department by providing solutions to software issues, inquiries and problems.
Actively participate in relevant corporate programs/initiatives, complies with professional and quality standards complies with corporate policies and procedures, and acts in a manner consistent with 3M’s values and ethical standards.
Basic Qualifications: (must include a generic level of education and the number of years of experience include 1-3 mandatory qualifications)
Possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
Minimum of three (3) years of experience with the 3M HIS 360™ Encompass™ CDI product
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Data Analytics, preferable in a hospital or at a payer OR an end-user trainer
3+ years as Coder/Coding Auditor/CDI Specialist or Concurrent Reviewer/Health Informaticist or Population Health Analyst/Clinical Instructor
1+ recent years of ICD-10 coding training experience
Knowledge of CDI, Coder, HIM and other workflows and needs in a hospital setting.
Knowledge of workflows and adapting those to better work for the client’s needs.
Microsoft skills including using Outlook, Teams, Excel (i.e. ability to create pivot tables & multi-sheets), etc.
Must have ability to work in an ever-changing environment (reference to Agile/SCRUM workflow)
2-4 years’ experience with demonstrated success in data analytics.
Strong critical thinking skills with a solution-oriented mindset
Superb attention to detail
Positive attitude in all actions internally & externally.
Understands data flows and table structures
Passionate about exploring and mastering technology and understanding “how things work.”
3-5 years of Data Analytics knowledge
Basic report writing experience
Must be able to support client needs in both test and production environments. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to direct and influence others
