This position ensures compliance of all Human Resources programs, policies and tools, including completing required filings (e.g. EEO-1 and Affirmative Action Plans) and researching, tracking and reporting on current federal, state and local employment legislation. This role is also responsible for developing/adapting processes to ensure compliance with applicable employment laws. The individual will direct existing programs, such as immigration, contingent workforce, I9 and background check compliance. This role will also direct and complete ethics and or employee relations investigations. This role will lead a small team responsible for “Tier 1” HR activities including processing new hires and termination, ensuring exit interviews, and other administrative tasks are completed.
Assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; reviews, interprets and recommends policies. Provides policy interpretation and guidance to both field and corporate business partners;
Act as subject matter expert Keep up with legal changes impacting existing compliance programs and partners with our internal Legal and HR teams.
Monitor and audit HR policy exceptions or issues.
Ensures compliance of the contingent workforce with applicable policy.
Maintains and updates employee handbooks to ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws.
Maintains and updates HR policies and procedures; works with policy SMEs as required to update for competitiveness or compliance.
Coordinates and submits EEO-1 filings.
Coordinates Affirmative Action plans in coordination with Talent Acquisition, HRIS and HR Business Partners.
Investigates and resolves employee relations investigations as reported by employees or through the Ethics Hotline and completes periodic internal compliance reporting.
Develop and deliver internal training and compliance bulletins to ensure consistency in the application of HR policies, procedures and practices across the organization.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned. Manage, direct, and supervise assigned direct reports, including general leadership, planning, organizing, and reviewing.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field; Master’s degree or law degree preferred
Minimum requirements include:
7-10 years of combined HR compliance and HR operations experience with a minimum of 3 years of leadership experience
Strong knowledge, understanding, and application of federal and state employment laws: ERISA, FLMA, FLSA, EEO, HIPAA, PPACA, etc.
Advanced problem solving, process improvement and change management skills with the ability to think strategically, analytically, and creatively
Ability to link actions to the company strategy and performance
