Job Description:

This position serves as one of two Recruiting Assistants and is also the first point of contact in the Career Services office.  The Recruiting Assistants manage the entire pre-interview process, including several labor-intensive steps (over the course of several weeks) to organize the logistics of employers’ visits to our campus.  This position is an integral piece of our recruiting operation.




Responsibilities Include:


1. Opening/closing duties to include unlocking door, turning on lights; checking central email system and messaging accordingly 

2. Screening incoming calls, copies, faxes 
3. Manipulating pre-packaged software (Handshake) to accomplish specific tasks 4. Communicating with students, employees, employers and other campus stakeholders via email, phone and in person 
5. Maintaining accuracy of interview schedules with students and employers
6. Coordinating interviews for the virtual interview room 
7. Receiving, reading and distributing incoming mail 
8. Compiling and downloading data for reports of various data as needed 
9. Performing other related duties as assigned or needed


Required Education: GED/High School Grad or equivalent combination of education/job related experience, AND:


  • 12-24 months office clerical/office management experience


Skills:




  • Advanced excel skills with ability to build and manipulate spreadsheets


  • Advanced computer skills with wide knowledge of business software


  • Proficient in Microsoft Office


  • Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information


  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines


  • Able to communicate well and build rapport quickly with students, faculty and staff


  • Able to produce reports and complete work within deadlines


  • Composition and proofreading skills

  • Customer service experience

  • none


Advertised Physical Requirements:


  • Must be able to engage in repetitive motion and communicate effectively.
