The primary role of the Clinical Development Field Sales Representative develops deep multi-year relationships with dentist and practice staff while cover ~30-50 high-value dental practices (across specialties) with and without history of consistent revenue generation. Drives share of wallet gains by selling the entire Dentsply Sirona portfolio and highly interacting with a team of customer and partner resources. Primary coordinator of the activities to an account.

The key responsibilities for the Clinical Development Field Sales Professional include increasing share of wallet and product and service solution revenue generation within Dentsply Sirona's high-value accounts and mid-value innovators. Become a thought partner for dentists to help optimize their practice (e.g., via introducing new products and procedures, practice efficiency and patient retention)


  • Building long-term relationships with dentist and practice staff
  • Developing a deep understanding of customers' current/future product needs
  • Defining and executing the strategy for the account
  • Assessing opportunity across suite of Dentsply Sirona products and solutions, and defining aspirations
  • Gathering competitive information (e.g., competitor offerings)
  • Developing and maintaining action plan for how the account will achieve targets, coordinating action planning across functions
  • Managing customer resources (e.g., product specialist, clinical educator) and Alliance partners (e.g., distributors) to define coverage
  • Defining/overseeing solution structure and negotiating financial terms
  • Reviewing account performance on periodic basis and conducting reviews with customers on ongoing basis
  • Providing primary point of contact for major customer communication and overseeing additional interactions with customer/ partner resources (e.g., support)
  • Account planning and tracking, initiation for activation initiative (e.g. education)
  • Play the role of account manager and identify potential up-selling/ cross-selling opportunities
  • Integrate and pull in Product Specialists to detail and demonstrate products as needed
  • Focus on strengthening relationships with current dentists while spending limited time hunting
  • Drive customer acquisition and adoption by representing primary/focused DS portfolio (e.g. CAD/CAM, Aligners) and leveraging Product Specialists.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with distribution partners.
  • Influence retention with increased reach and frequency in high/mid value customer segment by supporting the office staff with their routine orders through our Digital platform
  • Apply DS loyalty programs to acquire and expand wallet share in customer segment
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with critical stakeholders and decision makers.
