Planning and Analysis, Associate Manager – Individual Life Insurance, New Business

Prudential is looking for an individual who possesses strong analytical and reporting capabilities, curiosity, and a drive to enable the business to use data-driven insights to achieve optimal outcomes.

 

The Planning and Analysis Associate Manager will support the new business and underwriting leadership team in using data to inform the day-to-day needs of the operation and shape department strategy. This position will use cross-functional collaboration to identify and solve reporting needs, with high proficiency in using available tools/platforms to create/oversee reporting development. The successful candidate will gain exposure to Life New Business and Underwriting end-to-end planning processes, multiple distribution sources and informal leadership experience with Prudential, a world leader in financial services. 

   

Responsibilities (including but not limited to): 



  • Coordinate ad hoc metrics/reporting needs for the New Business and Underwriting organization (primary resource to help create and/or oversee the reporting needs)




  • Provide analysis and review of capacity model updates, service model analysis, budget & multi-year planning




  • Develop modeling of business drivers to understand and influence service model strategy




  • Tableau Reporting Governance – working with Enabling Solutions to set strategic direction for New Business & Underwriting report creation and execution




  • Coordinate and contribute to monthly new business scorecard




  • Support development of eCapability metrics to influence service model strategy




  • Build awareness of market trends and share insights with leadership team to enrich planning efforts





  • Critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical skills with demonstrated experience analyzing data to drive optimal business results




  •  Intellectual curiosity and ability to use data to challenge the status quo and introduce new perspectives




  • Excellent organization skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholder requests




  • Self-directed ability to identify impactful areas of process improvement




  • Strong networking, verbal and written communication skills, with proven success translating complex components into concise insights




  • Expert knowledge of Excel and strong mathematical and reporting experience




  • Familiarity with Tableau preferred
