We are looking for a Category Manager to join our Global Sourcing (Corporate) team and manage Electronic Assemblies (Printed Circuit Assemblies, Industrial PC's, Cable & Harness) & Magnetics for the enterprise. This is a strategic in which you will lead the Category Council for these categories and be responsible for ensuring supply base partners throughout the extended supply chain meet Hypertherm's business requirements with respect to; partnership, social & environmental sustainability, delivery, quality, and cost. Using your global sourcing experience, you'll be responsible for surveying, contingency planning and reporting on the status of the category marketplace and the development of category strategies.

Location: Onsite at our facilities in Lebanon, NH, New Brighton, MN, or Kent, WA, but we are open to considering remote work arrangements.

To be considered, you should have and be able to articulate the following:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or related discipline
  • 5 years of relevant supply chain experience
  • Proven analytical skills (cost/benefit analysis, make/buy decision-modeling, etc)
  • Strong written and verbal presentation and communication skills
  • Proven contract development and negotiation skills
  • Strong attention to detail

Additional experience that will make you stand out:
  • Master's Degree
  • 8-10 years of relevant supply chain experience
  • ISM and/or APICS certification
  • Green/Black Belt Certified
  • Knowledge of Lean/JIT Methodology
  • Knowledge of Purchasing modules in Oracle or similar ERP system
