Job Description:

The Manager, Patient Care Services, GI/Endoscopy will be accountable for the long term planning and human and fiscal resources of GI/Endoscopy Departments at NM Medicine Delnor Hospital. The Manager will ensure policies, procedures, and daily practices are in compliance with all regulatory groups to ensure safe, ethical, and quality patient/family centered-care. The Manager will creatively and effectively utilize staffing resources to manage unit volume and acuity. They will manage the selection and retention initiatives of new and existing staff as well as fostering ongoing professional development of staff. The Manager of GI/Endoscopy services will have knowledge and experience of in-patient and out-patient Endoscopy Labs and maintain the ability to practice and promote nursing practice meeting the ANA standards. The Manager, Patient Care Services will facilitate an atmosphere of interactive management and the development of collegial relationships among nursing personnel and other leaders within the organization. The Manager serves as a link between nursing personnel and other health care disciplines throughout the organization.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

2-4 years experience in GI/Endoscopy setting

2 years previous leadership/supervisory nursing experience

EDUCATION: Minimum: Graduate from accredited school of nursing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Specialty certification within one year of hire. Preferred: Masters in Nursing or related field.

LICENSURE: LIC RN, CERT BLS, ACLS
