Summary 


The leader of our Inside Cloud Sales team will have primary responsibility to lead a team of ~10 Inside Sales resources for all NEC cloud (UNIVERGE Blue) products and services. This role will interact directly with all levels of management on customer accounts. The Sales Manager role at NEC requires excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills to lead a team of Inside Sales team members uncovering opportunities, assessing customer requirements, hosting discovery sessions, presenting demonstrations of NEC’s technologies, and qualifying opportunities. You will also engage closely with NEC’s top-level executive leadership providing insight and analysis on the elements of the business which are driving towards the Company’s business objectives.  As a leader of the sales team, you will also work to ensure the constant advancement of the team’s skills and knowledge while at the same time, ensuring the team has the proper mindset, focus and motivation to be successful.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 


  • Manage and Lead a staff of 7 -12 Inside Cloud Sales Representatives to support a team of 35+ Account Managers and Sales Reps.

  • Recruit, onboard, coach and mentor team to become professional, account penetration experts

  • Run weekly dashboards/reports to review with SDR/BDR leadership

  • Coach and mentor BDRs on how to use technology including LinkedIn, DiscoverOrg, HubSpot, VidYard and other systems /applications to drive pipeline

  • Align with sales segment Directors, VP’s to optimize BDR activities to drive pipeline

  • Enable BDRs to deliver in excess of $1M+ in BDR generated pipeline (90 day rolling) from outbound activities

  • Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel (marketing, operations, sales, channel) and collaborate with key stakeholders to exceed objectives.

  • Nurture your team to insure ongoing success and career progression potential

  • Proactively assesses, clarify, and validate opportunities generated by your team

  • Perform weekly/monthly audits to insure quality of opportunities

 

Prerequisites:


  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business, sales or marketing or equivalent training in business or sales.

  • 5+years of BDR/SDR sales experience

  • 5+years of proven leadership directly managing a team- BDR/SDR/Inside Sales

  • Com experience strongly preferred. - Management of data, dashboard management and reporting

  • Strong business acumen is a must- with the ability to teach/coach team skills in navigating large corporate structures- C-Level/Subsidiaries/Divisions

  • Experience with large business end customers a plus

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including listening and presentation skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to convey and relate ideas to others through weekly 1:1’s with each team member and review KPI’s

  • Self-starter with a history of great decision making, planning, and execution to results Ability to learn and adapt quickly

  • Ability to excel in a team-oriented, collaborative, and fast-paced environment

  • Strong PC skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Vibrant and energetic attitude, willingness to perform and get things done while having fun Desire to Win

  • Social selling capability – and the ability to coach and guide your team in utilization

  • Specialized Knowledge and Skills – Excellent Sales – Presentation Skills
