What you’ll do on a typical day:


  • Establish relationships with key customer accounts payable personnel to facilitate cash collection and credit processes

  • Develop appropriate contacts with the Account Management team to help drive collections and identify dispute information related to past-due accounts

  • Periodically contact customers for cash collections and credit discussions

  • Collaborate with Account Managers on past-due accounts to help drive resolutions

  • Review customer portals to track factoring to ensure that all targets are met at the end of the quarter  

  • Contact customers for factoring questions at quarter-end

  • Learn new credit reporting systems and leverage capabilities for the company; learn credit processes and systems to report metrics

  • Coordinate weekly calls for past-due accounts and develop internal reporting to compare to metrics

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:


  • Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field

  • 1 or more years of experience in a financial role or a similar role with significant collections experience

  • Knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle), HFM, financial planning software, Microsoft BI and related technologies

  • Experience with large databases with the ability to utilize data from various BI systems

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Access)

  • Demonstrated ability to interact at multiple levels of a company and influence the actions of similarly-skilled people in outside organizations

It’d be great if you also have:


  • Experience with Lean/Six Sigma management concepts and/or certifications

  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends

  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
