HII-MDIS is currently seeking a Contract Administrator4 to work out of their Columbia, MD office.
This Contract Administrator 4 position provides contracts support on proposal and contract activities of varying complexity. Contract experience with Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), Time and Material (T&M) and Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contracts, task orders and subcontracts is required as is strong basic knowledge of the FAR/ DFARS. Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel. Knowledge of CostPoint / GOVWIN is desired. Candidate must be able to prioritize and work multiple tasks and be able communicate in a professional manner. Must be able to work independently and within a team.
Duties and Responsibilities: (to include but not be limited to the following):
Reviews solicitations and prepares responses of varying complexity for proposals, bids, and contract modifications.
Daily administration of Government contracts, prime contractor issued subcontracts, and task orders - typically CPFF and/or T&M.
Works under the direction of the Business Unit Sr. Contracts Manager.
Ensures that work is performed in compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, and HII-MDIS policies and procedures.
Prepares and administers routine correspondence, negotiation memoranda, supporting documents, and contract documentation to ensure timely and coordinated submittal.
Interacts daily with Program Managers, Contracting Officers, Program Controllers and other operational representatives.
Monitors compliance with contractual T&Cs.
Reviews and negotiates Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and Teaming Agreements (TAs).
Inputs contract information into GOVWIN database and contracts repository in a timely manner.
Notifies Functional Representatives (Finance, Project Control, Procurement, etc.) and Program Management of new awards and modifications.
Communicates contract policy and practice to internal business teams.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelors Degree in business or comparable field
10-14 years of contracts-related experience
Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
Excellent analytical skills and a proven ability to interpret and implement regulations
Ability to participate in multi-functional teams working on export issues with an ability to drive issues to conclusions
Attention to detail and follow through on assignments
Self-starter who can develop effective networks with customers
Ability to prioritize among complex and conflicting requirements
Contracting experience supporting U.S. Federal Government organizations/agencies
All candidates will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation and drug screening per HII requirements.
U.S. citizenship required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security clearance.
