3M Infection Prevention remains a trusted partner committed to helping customers lead the way in detecting, preventing and controlling the risk of infection. We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual with expertise in the Operating Room to be a Perioperative Clinical Consultant supporting and driving the growth of the 3M Perioperative products in the Northwest Region of the United States.
This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military environments to a 3M career.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
New Product Support
Implementation of customer validation evaluations (CVE) and voice of the customer (VOC)
Provide training and support to sales for new product commercialization to ensure launch effectiveness
Provide input to the Lab on new product ideas
Marketed Product Support
Provide technical/clinical support to sales reps and customers on the IPD perioperative products including:
Patient warming blankets and gowns
Lead clinical joint calls with reps on customers requiring in depth technical and clinical evidence discussions with OR managers and doctors(includes large business opportunities, IDNs)
Actively participate on sales management teams
Impart technical training at regional sales meetings
Provide technical support for large IDN product adoption
Deliver and manage educational speaker programs for CE at local and regional professional association chapter meetings, large IDNs and hospitals
Perform Operating Room Patient and Prepping Assessments
Manage the quarterly regional educational speaker program
Identify, evaluate and manage regional key opinion leaders
Other duties as assigned
This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position
Possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
Minimum three (3) combined years of hospital operating room experience as a surgical nurse and/or physician assistant in a private, public, government or military environment
Current and valid drivers license, which is required, as you will be issued a company vehicle for this position (if applicable)
Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited university
Minimum of 5+ years’ Operating Room experience
CNOR (Certified Nurse in the Operating Room)
Experience in public speaking delivering technical/clinical presentations
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Member of AORN / APIC at chapter and/or national level
Maintains professional relationships with regional patient safety and infection prevention experts
Strong leadership, influencing and analytical skills
Location: Remote Based - WA
Travel: May include up to 70% domestic
