A ROLE YOU WILL LOVE
Responsible for completing transactions related to collateral processing, Lost Note Affidavit and Allonges by coordinating various activities with document custodians and third-party vendors. Cross-trained on at least 50% of Department Functions. Acts as a functional expert for these tasks and is the primary trainer accordingly. Completes escalated or rush transactions by interfacing with attorneys, vendors, custodians and other third parties. Independent work on special projects.


Primary Accountabilities


  • Allonge and Assignment Procurement interface with third party lenders to fulfil their requirement to execute allonges, coordinate with attorneys for revisions and follow -up on open items

  • Conducts thorough Investigation for Lost Note Affidavit processing

  • Lost Note Affidavit processing - Investigating, coordinating with Foreclosure Attorneys, drafting, preparing for signatures, handling exceptions, ensuring timely processing, reconciling open transactions.

  • Completes initial and ongoing training as determined by management. Recommends additional training or coursework in coordination with the Supervisor. Provides technical guidance to co-workers on collateral, LNA and Allonge transactions.

  • Interacts with attorneys, vendors, custodians and other third parties regarding escalated or rush transactions, conducts research and takes action to complete. Follows up to ensure these issues are resolved.

  • Demonstrates proactive problem solving to improve quality and accuracy of information. This may require implementation of approved procedural changes necessary to minimize financial risks, improve service delivery and/or reduce expenses. Conducts user acceptance testing on IT projects.

  • Performs quality control checks and update procedures as directed

  • Collateral file processing - coordinating orders with Custodians, receiving, imaging, image verification, note verification, in-house delivery and shipping of collateral files.

  • Trailing document processing - researching, imaging and shipping of trailing documents.

  • Other duties or tasks as assigned by management.

Education and Experience
Required:


  • 1 to 2yrs. of Mortgage experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Preferred:
  • 1 to 2yrs. of Mortgage document experience
