This Analysis Technician I position is responsible for the inspection and analysis of field returned Cardiac Rhythm Heart Failure products. As part of the Product Experience Management organization, the analysis technician will analyze field returned implantable devices and leads with respect to customer concerns and will identify potential performance issues with the product. Work is completed in a team-based laboratory environment following lean processing and Cell Operating System principles. The analysis technician will ensure that all Quality Records surrounding their work are accurate, timely, and complete.

A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and test returned CRHF devices such as Therapy Delivery Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillators, Implantable Pulse Generators and Therapy Delivery Leads and Delivery Systems.

  • Leverages problem solving skills and understanding of device clinical function to perform complex analysis and identify new product issues.

  • Accurate data entry and documentation of information surrounding each product analysis are essential.

  • The technician must comply with all department policies, procedures and work instructions, including safety.

  • Writes analysis reports, drafts work instructions, and generates other technical documents.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

High School Diploma.

Nice to Have

  • Minimum two-year technical degree in electronic, mechanical or related field, or equivalent technical certification. (must)

  • Proficiency with standard desktop PC tools suites. (must)

  • Demonstrated data entry and data base experience. (must)

  • Experience working in a regulated environment requiring adherence to policies, procedures, and work instructions. (must)

  • Communication and interpersonal skills. Skilled at presenting ideas to business partners, peers, and management. (must)

  • Experience using analysis tools such as microscopes, oscilloscopes, digital multi-meters, and calipers. (must)

  • Must possess analytical, problem-solving skills (must)

  • 2 years of hands-on technical experience.

  • Laboratory, manufacturing, or design experience.

  • Experience working collaboratively with technician and engineering staff to achieve project or group goals.

  • Implantable device or lead analysis, design, or manufacturing experience

  • Solid understanding of CRHF products and their clinical applications. Has knowledge in at least one implantable product category.

  • Basic understanding of complaint handling regulations.

  • Understanding of medical devices, their clinical application, and understanding of basic failure modes and relevant clinical implications

  • Contributes to the success of process improvements through active participation on Lean Projects and Kaizen events

  • Experience working in a Cell Operating System or manufacturing environment
