We are currently looking for a Sales Director – Cyber Security Solutions & Services to join Thales CIC in Toronto, Canada. The Sales Director will provide the key commercial liaison to the company stakeholders and select customer accounts. Reporting to the MD of CIC in North America, the position’s objective is to deliver the CIC NA Order Intake and establish future growth through identification and development of opportunities, validation and securing of prospects consistent with CIC portfolio and within the relevant sales regions. Within the team assigned to the international development of CIC, you will work with Thales organization involving engineering, procurement, delivery, legal and finance at Country / Region level and will be also liaising with other Thales units world-wide as well as external Thales interfaces.

Key Responsibilities:


  • A major responsibility of the role is to develop in North America the sales of the Business Line portfolio of Technologies, Solutions and Professional Services based on the Strategic Business Plan and to realize the CIC NA booking objectives.

  • Build relationships with strategic partners such as vendors, end user organizations and potential partners with the ability to successfully negotiate sales agreements.

  • Identify new key customer accounts and develop a strategic and tactical sales lobbying plan to bring proactive portfolio awareness and solutions to target customers. Coordinate such actions with Thales North America, CIC BL and other Thales activities as part of the account management and sales.

  • Develop and execute go-to-market activities to target customers.

  • Establish and keep updated the Sales Dashboard for responsible accounts in order to assess the current and future opportunities, and prepare and present sales opportunities to management for approval (Gate process).

  • Forecast potential and future sales within the region of responsibility.

  • Quantify and qualify customer feedbacks so as to contribute to the CIC’s Portfolio to develop and maintain CIC’s competitive advantage.

  • Collaborate and work closely with CIC Value Proposition, Bids and L&C teams.

Required Skills and Experience:


  • 10 years or more in associated activities with at least 5 years of managerial or lead experience in sales of operation support Critical Information Systems and Digital Transformation.

  • Strong interpersonal and networking skills. To be successful in the role you must have the ability to build a strong network of contacts within the company and its partners from which collaborative solutions can be built.

  • Excellent communication & presentation skills.

  • Creative thinker with ability to identify and bring together disparate elements of opportunities to form a complete, viable project/deal.

  • Good communicator and numerate, the ability to contribute to project proposals and submissions.

  • Demonstrated required knowledge/competencies:

    • Cybersecurity marketplace; competitors, partners & customer

    • Sales techniques/consultative sales process

    • Financial/Business acumen



  • Working experience within multidisciplinary, multinational teams including functions of PMO, Biding, Engineering, Finance, Legal and commercial management.
