Job Description:
Overview

This position provides administrative support to HR and the facility. The Human Resources Coordinator (HRC) is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with management team members in supporting designated business groups. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: recruitment and onboarding, benefits administration, payroll, policy implementation, records retention, employee relations, affirmative action and employment law compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Responds to questions and troubleshoots issues related to policies, procedures, payroll, benefits, and other HR areas in a timely manner
  • Manages data integrity and accuracy among multiple systems by processing personnel actions (i.e- notification for terminations, job transfers, etc)
  • Stay current with federal, state and local compliance issues
  • Runs scheduled reports and creates reports as needed.
  • Acts as the Records Retention Coordinator to include: creating and maintaining employee files both electronically and any applicable paper files to include I-9s.
  • Creates and conducts audits and other quality assurance initiatives to proactively identify and address issues related to HR processing and other activities
  • Creates, activates and deactivates door access badges
  • Coordinates internal postings (i.e- job posting, federal compliance posters, etc) throughout the facility
  • Create and maintain master spreadsheets
  • Coordinates employee activities
  • Maintain leave of absence records including submission of short-term disability payments, and tracking FMLA time and coding into payroll system (Kronos)
  • Assists recruitment effort for all personnel
  • Onboards all new hires (submits applicants background screening, schedules pre-employment drug screen, submits all new hire forms to appropriate department and new-employee orientations)
  • Coordinates facility events
  • All other duties assigned by the HR manager


Qualifications

  • 2 - 3 years of HR Experience required
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Intermediate knowledge of all Microsoft Office Applications
  • Corporate experience preferred, but not required
