What you’ll do on a typical day:


  • Direct and manage all types of international and domestic freight forwarding services in the branch

  • Meet or exceed established business and profit growth targets; remain accountable for product P&L at the branch level

  • Establish and ensure operational implementation and compliance with processes and procedures for handling the freight product

  • Maintain strategic relationships with appropriate vendors, including pricing and service standards; coordinate with the vendor base to ensure strategic compliance with XPO goals and objectives

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations

  • Assist sales in developing new customers in the market and onboarding those customers to operations

  • Develop and implement new product and service offerings to meet customer needs in alignment with their goals and objectives

  • Direct, develop and train staff members to ensure individual and branch KPIs are met

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience

  • 10 years of experience in operations for a carrier, freight forwarder/NVO and/or consolidator/Third-Party Logistics (3PL) organization

  • Experience in international logistics with an understanding of Asia and Europe trade lanes

It’d be great if you also have:


  • Sales experience

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with experience developing, managing, leading and communicating effectively
