You will:

Design innovative campus recruitment attraction strategies and selection of the top diverse talent from across numerous schools to join Equinix.

Work across all Equinix businesses, regions and partners driving effective recruiting efforts to ensure this channel is returning high quality talent at scale; Lead objective school selection. Build investment, relationship strategies and engagement process for each tier of schools. Identify, design and deploy the appropriate assessment and interviewing tools for the UR selection process; allowing for efficient selection at scale and a premiere candidate experience. Maximize digital channels with Talent Management and the business. Design the appropriate on-boarding and acclimation experience for cohorts of incoming talent. Collaborate with Equinix functions (e.g. Marketing) to develop and sustain our employer brand and bring it to life externally and internally through online and offline channel. Partner with Communications and Marketing teams to align messaging and ensure consistency across all content for everything we do and share.

This is an inaugural role at Equinix and represents the growth of Equinix’s Global Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) team. You are already “woke” to the fact that meaningful D&I progress doesn’t happen overnight and you’re therefore able to block out the noise that says otherwise to stay focused on the mission.

In this role you will not only be responsible for helping to realize the goals in equinix’s existing DIB strategy, but also infusing new ideas into future strategies. You will report directly to Equinix’s VP Talent Acquisition and will lead as their “right hand” on all D&I-related initiatives. We’re seeking candidates whose education, perspectives, and experience enable them to provide on-the-ground vision, leadership and counsel on matters of DI&B, collaborate across functions to create a welcoming and respectful environment that embraces diversity as a dimension of excellence, and promotes openness and inclusion as we build the new Equinix.


  • Design Digital Staffing Process

  • Develop Digital Strategy

  • Drive Branding Improvements

  • Manage projects

  • Apply expertise and existing relationships to enhance implementation of EQIX’s DI&B strategy (covering our workforce, workplace and marketplace).

  • Provide coaching, education and consultancy to cross-functional, global senior leaders and People Business Partners enabling them to implement their business unit-specific D&I plans.

  • In partnership with the People Analytics team, develop, maintain and monitor diversity metrics, corresponding dashboards and recurring reports to measure success, glean insights and incorporate into future strategy and initiatives.

  • Own and manage multiple Equinix-wide, global D&I programs that help to cultivate a culture of inclusion.

  • Partner with and support Brand, Marketing, Communications, People & Organizational Development, Total Rewards and People Operations teams to drive design and delivery of inclusive messaging and people processes throughout Equinix.

  • Partner with our Recruiting organization ensuring that recruiters are adequately educated on diverse and inclusionary hiring standard methods and processes.

  • Advise University Recruiting Team on the most innovative and relevant standard methodologies and external partnerships to help attract and hire a diverse group of University candidates.

  • Facilitate educational sessions to help make Equinix’s people, teams and culture even more inclusive.

  • Provide content for key D&I Team initiatives like; but not limited to our Global D&I Survey, external D&I Report and internal and external D&I websites.

  • Advise and provide coaching related to existing and future efforts for our Global Communities of Inclusion (often referred to as Employee Resource/Affinity Groups) Program.

  • Effectively represent equinix’s diversity and inclusion philosophy, approach and efforts externally with individuals, partner organizations and key community partners and at key external events.

  • Collaborate with related roles including, the Diversity Seller Ambassador and Government Relations Manager among others.


  • Positive, inclusive, proactive and can-do attitude driven by high level of emotional intelligence and self-awareness.

  • Passion for equinix’s mission and purposeful business model.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (graduate degree is highly desirable).

  • At least 7 years of experience in scoping, designing and implementing D&I programs in complex, fast-paced and global organizations; experience working as a HR Business Partner a plus.

  • Proven ability managing multiple, complex and global projects that are company-wide.

  • Ability to influence and build sustainable relationships with people at every level of the organization to assist in the development and maintenance of the organization’s global D&I strategy.

  • Understanding of and exposure to U.S. and non-U.S. communities, cultures and geographies.

  • Highly-effective analytical skills and ability to translate metrics, research, and trends into strategy.

  • Expertise in implicit bias, inclusive leadership research and corresponding organizational interventions.

  • Superior facilitation skills (one-on-one conversations, team sessions and large groups).

  • Strategic mindset with a bias towards action and creative problem solving.

  • Ability to manage up, across and down; tailor communication style and content to each audience.

  • Proven history of scaling operations through change management standard methodologies, process simplification and automation where feasible.

  • Flexibility to travel (sometimes internationally) when needed.
