Job Description:


VT Group i s a leading technology integrator with close to 50 years' experience delivering technology and C4ISR solutions to solve the complex challenges faced by our government and commercial customers in the Defense and National Security markets.

VT Group is seeking Mechanical Assembler located in Virginia Beach, Virginia.


  • Ability to follow clear and detailed instruction; performs duties assigned by the supervisor
  • Read general fabrication drawings
  • Interpret general schematics (hydraulic, electrical)
  • General knowledge of hydraulics
  • General knowledge of low and high voltage wiring
  • Good general knowledge of hardware i.e. nut and bolt thread size and grades, various types of pins and bearings
  • General understanding of torque requirements
  • General knowledge of tools required to perform assembly work
  • Operate basic hand tools i.e. drills, rivet gun, wrenches, grinders, impact socket
  • Operate basic machinery i.e. iron worker, drill press, band saw
  • Able to weld (mig)
  • Drill and tap holes
  • Operate fork lift and equipment safely
  • Work as lead mechanic while working with less skilled personnel


  • HS plus one year of related experience or Associate's Degree.
