JOB DUTIES: Work on cutting-edge communications algorithms design and physical system engineering. Provide ultra high-speed and low power communication systems with focus on digital signal processing and PHY baseband algorithms/modeling. Deliver the concept to product and implement physical layer signal processing algorithms within communications. Perform theoretical analysis of wireline communication systems. Evaluate Physical layer algorithms and standards for Serdes. Engage in system performance analysis, test, and validation. Work in the lab independently or with application engineers to debug, test, characterize, and validate designs. Utilize advanced knowledge and skills in programming language such as C, C++ and Matlab.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Ph.D s or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field and one (1) year of research or work experience in the job offered or as a Research Assistant, Design Engineer, Verification Engineer, or a related occupation.
Employer will accept Master s or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation in lieu PhD s degree and one year experience.
One (1) year of research or work experience must include each of the following:
1. Theoretical analysis understanding of wireless or wired communications systems and digital signal processing;
2. Examining physical layer algorithms and standards, in the field of Serdes/WiFi/LTE/, digital audio/video broadcasting, DSSS or UWB;
3. Programming languages C/C++ and MATLAB;
4. DSP programming, analog/digital circuit implementation, modeling;
5. System performance of test and validation, including communication system modeling languages with C, C++ or MATLAB; and
6. Channel estimation for wireless or wireline channels.
