JOB SUMMARY
-------------------------

The Director for Health System Emerging Strategies is an integral contributor to UT Southwestern Health Systems mission; partnering across business lines to manage a portfolio of health system priorities, providing resources and expertise to support operational execution, and drive accountability for consistent measurement, refinement, and sustainability of emerging strategies. Leads the development and ongoing operations of an electronic platform that provides transparency into the prioritization, accountability, implementation, operations, and measurement of emerging strategies. Provides a relentless focus on the implementation of innovative strategies to reduce the cost of care, improve the quality, and optimize the patient experience. Completes the analyses leading to the development of innovative business models, partnerships, and ventures driving revenue growth. Creates financial forecasts, bench-marking, and metrics to ensure alignment with overall organization strategic imperatives. Serves as a catalyst for health care clinical innovation and delivery transformation to position UTSW as the continued leader in health care delivery in the D-FW Metroplex. Leads efforts to design and implement a digital health experience that engages and activates patients to play a proactive role in the management of their overall health and wellness.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
-------------------------

Bachelors degree in related field and eight (8) years progressively responsible experience in healthcare, business, and/or strategic planning.

JOB DUTIES
-------------------------

* Leads the development and ongoing operations of an electronic platform that provides transparency into the prioritization, accountability, implementation, operations, and measurement of emerging strategies.

* Provides a relentless focus on the implementation of innovative strategies to reduce the cost of care, improve the quality, and optimize the patient experience.

* Partners across the health system and affiliates to deliver a differentiated access experience focused on providing the right care by the right provider at the right time in the right location.

* Organizes and presents insight and research from UTSW, affiliates, and external sources to be at the forefront of emerging strategies and health care delivery transformation through horizon scanning.

* Completes the analyses leading to the development of innovative business models, partnerships, and ventures driving revenue growth.

* Creates financial forecasts, benchmarking, and metrics to ensure alignment with overall organization strategic imperatives.

* Identifies and implements opportunities for process improvement focused on reimagining current workflows with emerging technologies, innovation, and automation.

* Share in the development of a values based culture that supports our tripartite mission while driving towards patient-friendly processes at all UTSW Medical Center locations.

* Serves as a catalyst for health care clinical innovation and delivery transformation to positon UTSW as the continued leader in health care delivery in the D-FW Metroplex.

* Leads efforts to design and implement a digital health experience that engages and activates patients to play a proactive role in the management of their overall health and wellness.

* Performs other duties as assigned.
