Trustwave is searching for a content marketing manager. You'll help us organize and improve our online content and give us a powerful voice across our website, online marketing initiatives and social communications. With the improvements you'll bring to our online content in terms of quality and design, you will ensure that our website visitors, email readers, and social engagers can quickly understand who we are, what we do and how we can help solve their challenges with a unique and compelling value proposition. You'll also help us ensure that our marketing team continues to create (and demonstrate) a measurable impact on revenue and our business.

As our Content Marketing Manager, you'll be responsible for managing the development and production of compelling, engaging and well-designed content for our website and other online marketing efforts including email and social marketing. You'll be producing your own original writing and editing content from others, all the while ensure that all online content is consistently written and that it meets web usability and SEO standards.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop overall online content strategy based on business objectives, product strategy and customer needs.
  • Develop and document content requirements for website and online marketing activities, and identify and engage potential content sources.
  • Develop, edit, message and create compelling online content - with stakeholders or on your own.
  • Own the ongoing management of web content - drive and manage plan for all online content development and updates based on usability,
  • Working with the web team, use analytics tools to track site performance and make recommendations.
  • Identify search engine marketing opportunities (where relevant).
  • Manage social media content and updates, including LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, etc.


Skills Needed:
You're an insanely good writer - you're able to translate content from many sources and in various states of quality into organized, compelling online stories.
  • You understand the journey -- you know how to put yourself in your readers shoes to deliver them content and information that's organized in a way that they can digest, when they're ready.
  • You have proven experience implementing best practices in writing for the web, social media trends, web usability, web design, and business/industry trends.
  • You know how to draw content and story lines out of all kinds of people, including people who are not that great at explaining what they know, and you can work effectively within a cross-departmental team.
  • You are organized and meticulous, and you can document and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and keep everyone posted.
  • Everyone you've met has noticed your exceptional communication and organizational skills.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience managing content and production for high traffic websites.
  • Prior experience developing content strategy and content standards.
  • Prior experience working as an editor of B2B web content and managing social media marketing for business sites.
  • Prior experience in content development in the field of information technology required (IT Security experience is a big plus).
  • Knowledge of HTML and familiarity with front end web design.
  • High proficient creating pages and updating content in a CMS.
  • Understanding of marketing automation platforms (Marketo, Eloqua, or similar) is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, Business, MIS or a related field required.


Education:
We prefer college-educated applicants, but at minimum, high school diploma or equivalent is required for employment.\
