Job Description:


People and Culture leads the efforts and operations to accomplish the Human Resources responsibilities of the Bank. The Learning and Development team within the People and Culture department aims to develop talent at all levels across the Bank through a comprehensive learning framework designed to build and enhance each individual's abilities.

Job Summary

The Learning Specialist plays a central role in managing the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago's development programs. This includes developing learning programs for all levels (such as classroom training, mentoring, rotational programs, 360 assessments, etc.). You will partner with internal and external stakeholders to provide an exceptional learning experience for participants.

Responsibilities

Learning Consulting and Facilitation


  • Be a lead advisor and provide strategic input on content development for both Bank and department-specific programs


  • Contribute to content development of high complexity for both Bank and department-specific programs


  • Lead development and implementation of content evaluation strategy to monitor effectiveness of learning and development programs


  • Provide strategic input on and implement learning strategy and priorities for Bank


  • Lead advanced, ongoing research on best practices and external trends in learning and development, and incorporate with Bank programs



Project Management

  • Ensure oversight and lead coordination of all Bank learning programs


  • Provide strategic input on strategy and provide oversight and coordination of learning technology platforms (e.g., 7Dev, LMS) and materials on Inside 7 (Bank intranet)


  • Lead efforts to develop and update program support materials as needed


  • Provide oversight and lead coordination activities of high complexity pertaining to program instructors and facilitators


  • Track complex program expenses and oversee preparation and submittal of invoices



Participant Communication

  • Partner with internal communications function to provide overall Bank communications of high complexity


  • Be a lead contact for development programs of high complexity


  • Maintain course rosters and manage participant database as needed


  • Lead development of and issue program communications to participants and line managers



Logistics Coordination

  • Lead and provide overall coordination of Bank training logistics for classroom learning sessions


  • Lead and provide overall coordination of the Bank contracting process involving vendors and the internal procurement function


  • Lead and provide overall coordination of training room set-up, audio-visual equipment, and meals
