Job Summary:

Provide prompt, knowledgeable, friendly service to customers and company personnel. Provide, with a positive attitude, a high level of support in maintaining and servicing accounts.

Essential Functions:
  • Assist in processing all new business and renewal packets and endorsements.
  • Assist in handling all surplus lines tax (filing and transmitting).
  • Be familiar and knowledgeable with company guidelines, forms and processing.
  • Analyze, prioritize and interpret information drawing accurate conclusions with minimal guidance.
  • Responsible for providing any and all services required to initiate all endorsements including writing orders, updating Agency Management System or entering on-line information on the company's management system.
  • Receive telephone calls and help comply with their requests or questions. Use sound judgment in referring questions to the Broker.
  • Assist with compliance and accuracy.Prepare templates for certificates of insurance and issue when necessary.
  • Prepare orders and update Schedules of Insurance.Binder bill renewal business.
  • Review all Inspections, if Rex's are applicable send letter accordingly.Follow-up as necessary; forward to carrier.
  • Assist in renewal follow-ups.
  • Maintain customer paper and computer files.
  • All other duties assigned.

Desired Qualifications:

Insurance industry experience preferred. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that instills good working relationships with customers, clients, co-workers and management. Computer proficiency with Agency Management System, Outlook, Excel Spreadsheets, Word documents, faxing from PC and Internet search. Establishes priorities and organizes time efficiently to ensure that tasks are completed to meet or exceed deadlines.

Education Requirements:

License preferred within one year of hire. INS 21, 22 & 23 designation required within 3 years of hire.
