We are currently looking for a dynamic individual as a Product Safety Communication Regional Manager for our Product EH&S Division at our Advanced Technology Center located in The Woodlands, Texas.
The Product Safety Communication Regional Manager will be responsible for managing a team of SDS (Safety Data Sheet) expert authors who support all businesses in the Americas region by providing hazardous product GHS (Global Harmonized System) classification, DG (Dangerous Goods) transport classification, SDS (Safety Data Sheet) and labeling.
What will be expected from you?
To lead, manage, provide guidance and strategic direction to the Americas product safety communications team to support all businesses in the region.
Responsible for the availability, integrity and accuracy of data for the compilation and release of compliant Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and Labels for Americas region.
Support global R&D teams and businesses in new product development and introduction, provide GHS classification through SDS and label to allow safe marketing and use of these newly developed products.
Collaborate with the Systems Data Management Team for input and review of all data for the compilation and release of SDS and labels.
To manage resources for the Americas product safety communications team and responsible for their training and development.
Support Global Product Safety Communication (PSC) Team and participate global SDS and labeling authoring project.
Resolving business queries and customer enquiries in respect of GHS regulations, SDS and Labels, Dangerous Goods (DG) classification and analyzing trend for long term solutions.
Identify forthcoming regulatory challenges and impacts to all businesses and proactively advise all businesses of solutions to ensure the continuation of market access for Huntsman products.
To establish processes and procedures to ensure compliance with all product safety communications and regulations, continuously seeking for process and procedure optimization.
What are we looking for in the ideal candidate?
Bachelor's Degree in Science (Chemistry, Biology, etc…) and 12+ years of related experience OR a Master's Degree in Science (Chemistry, Biology, etc…) and 8+ years of related experience
Minimum 5 years of hands-on Americas region SDS and label authoring experience
Hands-on experience with global SDS and label authoring, e.g. EU CLP SDS and label authoring is preferred.
A minimum of 5 years' experience in managing Americas regional team with direct reports of SDS and labeling authors, experience managing global authors team is a plus
Excellent understanding and interpretation of GHS classification and national GHS regulations in Americas region to advise solutions for all businesses in the region
An expert of SAP EHS SDS and labeling authoring process
Additional knowledge of EU CLP (Classification, Labeling and Packaging) regulation or GHS regulations in other regions is preferred
Comfortable working with different cultures and through multiple time zones
Excellent analytical trouble-shooting and root cause analysis skills, can analyze business case to identify root cause and advise solutions including proposal of improvement
Advise & influence business decisions to ensure market access to Huntsman products
Excellent leadership and coaching skills
Excellent computer software skills including EXCEL, Office 365
Skill and knowledge of Sharepoint is a plus

Certificates of training for GHS classifications (e.g. SCHC GHS Register) or Dangerous Goods Classification (i.e. IMDG, IATA etc.) will be a plus
