This position is responsible for the tactical management of Network Logistics and Operations for EB Logistics, Equipment, and Transportation for APL PSW North America. Duties include but are not limited to the following;
Develop, streamline, manage, train, distribute and tactical execution of processes and work necessary to progress import, export, transhipment, equipment and accurate data through the APL Network for both PSW management and OCU.
Participate in strategic planning and manage the execution of the tactical business and work flow as directed by the process owners of EB Logistics, Equipment, Transportation, and Network Logistics.
Provide daily Operations & Logistics support to ensure daily operations, training, unexpected issues and ensure adequate problem resolution for Long Beach Network Logistics Group.
Manage the OCU and ensure proper training, direct and assign work to OCU employees as required and in accordance with the OCU Contract ensuring equitable distribution of work in Equipment, Transportation, and EB Logistics.
Management of Time in Lieus to include but not limited to validating, analysis, grievance recommendations, corrective action as well as development and implementation of effective processes to reduce Time in Lieu's and Grievances as required and in accordance with the OCU Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Manage and monitor OCU assigned work, analytical problem solving, implementing effective solutions to ensure the efficient and timely completion of each task for Long Beach Network Logistics office. The administration of the OCU Collective Bargaining Agreement to include Hire, Transfer, Discipline, Suspend, Recall, and Discharge OCU employees.
Develop, manage and report KPIs to ensure the timeliness and accuracy of data integrity for Long Beach Network Logistics office.
Provide clear direction and communication between management and the OCU to ensure a safe, productive, and pleasant work environment in the Long Beach Network Logistics office.
Email, process and data management.
Identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
Staff development and management for optimal Long Beach Network Logistics office performance.
Key Accountabilities/Job Duties
OCU management, training, work assignment, monitoring and administration of OCU Collective Bargaining Agreement

Bachelor's degree in related field of transportation, logistics, business management or equivalent work experience is strongly preferred.
4-year college degree or equivalent work experience required.
Thorough knowledge of labor relations, customer service, process management, stevedoring, terminal operations, network logistics from an APL Liner management perspective.
5-10 years progressive management level experience in the transportation industry
Advanced knowledge of business and Microsoft Suite Products ( Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word, Access, etc…)
