BUSINESS UNIT: Health Care Quality & Affordability (Health Care and Community Health Transformation)

POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Vice President of Holistic Health, the Director of the Healthcare & Community Health Transformation Design Studio will be responsible for developing and leading an innovation team focused on the development of next generation products and services that will transform BSCs holistic health and care delivery models. The teams mission is to offer data-driven solutions using customer first design to develop equitable health solutions. The Director of the Design Studio is accountable for designing user inspired, integrated products and services that deliver a unified experience to improve population health outcomes, lower costs, and improve member and provider experiences by using design thinking and discovery-driven approach to learn, build, and test solution prototypes.

The Director will be responsible for leading the process of designing and developing new tools and services and partnering with internal implementation team to put those solutions into pilot. S/he will also organize, and lead all required activities supporting innovations with our strategic solution partners, regarding payment models, data and analytics, and community health interventions. Moreover, the Director may be responsible for assembling project teams, assigning and monitoring work of team members and providing guidance and leadership for other multidisciplinary efforts. This position may require statewide travel to Northern and Southern California locations.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Provide transformational leadership in collaborations with provider and community partners on identifying and implementing innovative solutions that can be used to support health transformation in line with our whole person health goals

Develop a team and supporting processes focused on identifying, developing and piloting next generation products and services that will transform our holistic health and care delivery models

Lead innovation product development in support of innovation blueprint/roadmap, business modeling, research and development, solution design, prototype, user experience and process mapping.

Engages with cross-functional business leaders (internally and externally) to objectively analyze the organizations ability to absorb change and adopt post pilot of solution or service

Manage a high-performing team and maintain an environment that fosters their career growth

Provide executive level portfolio performance reporting for all annual, quarterly and monthly planning activities, as well as reporting on key initiatives within the enterprise portfolio

Champions a collaborative leadership approach with a focus on understanding existing resources and relationships between/among partner organizations as well as within BSC while moving toward constructive change
