Job Description:

Come work at a place where innovation and teamwork come together to support the most exciting missions in the world!

NGINX empowers creators of the new digital world

NGINX, Inc., now part of F5 Networks, is the company behind the popular open source project. We offer a suite of technologies for developing and delivering modern applications. Together with F5, our combined solution bridges the gap between NetOps and DevOps, with multi-cloud application services that span from code to customer.

The NGINX Application Platform enables enterprises undergoing digital transformation to modernize legacy, monolithic applications, as well as deliver new, microservices-based applications. Companies like Netflix, Starbucks, and McDonalds rely on NGINX to reduce costs, improve resiliency, and speed innovation.

NGINX Software, Inc. is searching for an enthusiastic, eager-to-learn Territory Business Development Representative (TBDR) to join the growing sales team in San Francisco. If you are just getting started in your sales career or looking for a change, NGINX is the perfect place!

This position requires previous experience with prospecting and is focused on prospecting greenfield accounts. BDR candidates during the interview should not only be able to demonstrate the ability to comprehend NGINX Plus, but also differentiate it from the open source offering. They will also be expected to articulate how they would be creative and thoughtful in their approach to solicit a response from prospects. This position is an in-office role that requires working from the NGINX office in San Francisco.

  • Schedule highly qualified meetings from inbound and cold campaigns within target accounts for territory sales

  • Leverage prospecting tools such as Outreach, LinkedIn Navigator, and outbound calling techniques to schedule meetings with identified target accounts

  • Collaborate with marketing, support, field sales, and product teams to facilitate new programs, messaging, campaigns, and offerings

  • Ensure inbound requests and opportunity handoffs to sales, business development, and support are successful and exceed the customer's satisfaction

  • Ensure reporting and communications are frequent and bi-directional

  • Exhibit qualities of overachievement, self-motivation, good teamwork, and positive attitude

  • Meet and exceed minimum activity metrics: 50 Dials, 10 conversations, and 50 emails per day

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience

  • 1 year of prospecting

  • Familiarity with CRM tool and LinkedIn/prospecting tools

  • Previous experience with technology is a plus

NGINX, Inc. started as and will always be an open source company, and as a result, our culture shares many characteristics with the open source community itself. This culture is built upon our core values: progress, excellence, openness, and curiosity. We’re a growing company with a startup feel and products that are chosen for high performance and efficiency by innovators around the world. If our team has one thing in common, it’s our passion for NGINX and dedication to a global product that’s beloved by hundreds of millions of people.
