Assist in the coordination and completion of monthly financial information required by Corporate.
Assist in the maintenance, preparation and execution of the fiscal month-end close.
Preparation, completion and input of monthly journal entries.
Coordinate and prepare account reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts
Generate accrual entries as appropriate.
Prepare and maintain monthly closing checklist
Prepare monthly financial statements required by Corporate
Responsible for the accuracy of the general ledger
Assist with the oversight of both the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
Provide reports, schedules, and documentation to support Corporate reporting requirements.
Assist in the review and update of inventory standard costing
Assist in the annual forecasting process as needed.
Assists with related special projects, as required.

Indirect supervision of the Junior Accountant and Accounts Payable Clerk.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Position requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting, plus 4 years of general/cost accounting experience
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
None required, CPA /CMA a plus
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
Must have experience with large ERP systems and understand process flow. Experience with Baan/SAP systems preferred. Must be proficient with Microsoft office products; Should have prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
