Job Summary

The Propagation Study Analyst has overall responsibility for completing Propagation study requests from Sales and Support. The role is responsible for creating and designing AMI networks for RFP responses, Budgetary requests, etc. You will be held responsible for maintaining current EDX SignalPro templates to ensure the most accurate propagation studies are being created. The Network Design Engineer will work closely with Sales to explain the AMI design and make sure all parties involved understand the proposed network design.

Primary accountabilities include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Design propagation studies for all current AMI systems.
  • Utilize (Geographic Information System) GIS tools and RF tools including ESRI ArcMaps, Google Earth Pro, and EDX SignalPro to process, design, and create propagation studies.
  • Utilize Microsoft office products including Microsoft Publisher to produce and publish Propagation study documents used in Request for Purchase (RFP) responses.
  • Host internal reviews to review completed propagation studies.
  • Generate in excess of 250 RF propagation studies annually ensuring adequate coverage while minimizing back-haul, equipment, and installation costs
  • Develop processes and procedures to improve propagation study process.
  • Conduct routine meetings with Sales (involved in specific propagation study) to address concerns, design, and comments/improvements
  • Develop and maintain end user training material. Execute onsite customer training when required

Education and Experience Requirement:
  • Bachelor's Degree in an IT related field required
  • Previous experience in using Geocoding software required

Additional Skills Preferred:
  • Experience with ESRI ARCGIS preferred
  • SQL Query knowledge preferred
